Now that I’ve officially apologized for not posting yesterday, can we be friends again? No? Well I’ll introduce you to Hampton Slim anyway. He’s a sleek high top with minimalist design from Radii. Hampton Slim is the lovechild of a boot and sneaker that gives you the slim and trim features of the boot paired with the fly vulcanized sole of a sneaker. He’s got vertical zippers on the in-and-outside and is finished with slim laces. I love that Radii makes it a point to release their kicks in umpteen colorways to fit every guy-every mood. Medea is a super cute criss-cross sandal from Ivanka Trump which features a coral patent leather vamp and wide tan leather ankle strap. Medea is finished with a neutral snakeskin-embossed heel and the element is also incorporated into the rear of the ankle strap. I love the juxtaposition of the colors to the snakeskin and think this is great for those spring/summer dresses that you’ll (no doubt) be wearing around the office as the work days get shorter and play nights get longer. River Island is a hot UK brand seen in some of our favorite online shops like ASOS. The brand has been putting out some hot shoes as of late-which is perfect for upgrading the summer shoe game.

River Island Design Forum “Julian J Smith Wedge”

River Island launched a new collection dubbed the River Island Design Forum last fall. The collection features creations from rising designers. These wedges were created for the project by Julian J Smith. They feature wide cross straps and a great ankle strap with buckle closure. The print on these is so fun (sans the pink pair). I can see the yellow or orange pairs fitting comfortably in my closet. She sits 15 cm (5.9″ high)! But has a generous platform so no need to worry. Get a pair from River Island for £55 ($87). Hogan “Lace Up Cap Toe Sneaker”

Every man needs a semi-sophisticated kick that can transition through seasons. This lace up, cap toe leather sneaker from Hogan is just that. The casual sneaker is crafted from smooth peanut-buttery brown leather and finished with ivory trimming and cap-toe. The signature “H” is placed along the side of the shoe in contrast leather and bleeds right into the rubber sole. I’ve seen this ankle-wrap d’orsay from Christian Louboutin-dubbed “trash” by the designer- all over the place and I must admit I LOVE LOVE LOVE. The gorgeous yellow heel detailing and the watersnake platform are what initially caught my eye and I kind of dismissed the vamp of the shoe as a cool look but nothing too special.   BUT, as I looked closer I realized that the shoe really is made of “trash” covered in clear PVC. This means that no two pair are the exact same. Swoon! The patent leather ankle strap helps secure this beauty to the feet as you strut your way around town. She sits 4 1/2″ hight with a 1 3/8″ platform and is made in Italy. Get your own unique pair from Neiman Marcus for around $1300.
